This meal was a HUGE success! I was surprised of the outcome myself! 🙂 This Portobello burger recipe I found on this very blog, Mother Hubbard’s Vegan Mayhem. It was a recipe orchestred by a previous cook, Keawe.

I actually had to modifiy it a little bit because I’ve let myself being surprised at how much balsamic vinegar and soy sauce it took to make 75 of them. So, in addition (or you can use it as a replacement) to balsamic vinegar, I added apple cider vinegar. And instead of sugar, I used honey because… just because. Honey is a natural sugar that is miraculous for your body and your mood, and it sweetened every meal just perfectly. The last trick is to let the mushrooms marinated in the mix for an hour and cook them to your liking afterwards. (For those who like to follow a recipe in a stict fashion, I just want to let you know that you don’t have to use foil, especially if you have a good amount of sauce. But if you don’t, it will help keep the moisture and probably cook faster.)
