Basically Basilly stir fry

Hey guys, hope everyone got their fill last week. With the help of the some fabulous volunteers, we dished up some basically basilly stir fry over fragrant jasmine rice and some tangy oranges as dessert. The semester is drawing to a close and we only have two meals left before the break…so sad.

But we are going to make them good, so be there.


Basically basilly stir fry

1 onion chopped

2 clove garlic diced

ts ginger diced

½ package of tofu cubed

1 carrot diced

½ C mushrooms sliced

1 green pepper sliced

1 C broccoli

1 C cauliflower

½ C soy sauce

½ C kecap manis (sweet soy sauce found in Asian groceries)

2 tb fresh basil


First, dice the basil and mix with the sauces and set aside. Fry the onions and tofu in a bit of oil until the onions turn translucent. Add the garlic and ginger. After about five minutes of frying, add the carrots and mushrooms, continue cooking on med heat for 5 min. Add the rest of the ingredients and cover for 3 minutes. Add the sauces and recover. Stir every minute or so and continue cooking until done.
