Clothes Swap!!! March 26, 2008

Hey y’all, get on down to the Peer Support Group’s clothing swap this Thursday (March 27).  It runs from 4-7pm and will be taking place in the basement of the Chaplaincy (2090 Mackay St.).  You can bring in old clothing and accessories and swap them for new duds… what is one person’s trash could very well be another’s treasure.

This is also coincides with the weekly Thursday evening meal, just one more incentive  to come on out and add to the wonderfully diverse community that is flourishing at Concordia’s Multi-Faith Chaplaincy.  I hope to see you there!

Reading Week February 16, 2008

Mother Hubbard will be hanging up her apron this week as it is time to hunker down with her books (yes, she has a life outside of the kitchen!)We look forward to bringing you tasty vegan vittles resuming February 28th.  Have a great break; we hope to see you in a on the 28th!

A big hearty welcome back from the holiday break.Expect Mo’ Hubbs to be cooking up a storm with her volunteers every Thursday night during the winter term. 

Holiday Break November 28, 2007

Tomorrow will be the last Mother Hubbard’s dinner/ gathering of 2007.  The meals will resume when school does in January (January 10th to be exact).  Here’s to a great break for everyone!

Happy Belated World Vegan Day! November 14, 2007

So it seems that November 1st, otherwise known as World Vegan Day, came and went without me wishing you all a good one. What the heck is World Vegan Day, you might be asking yourself? Here’s the scoop (remember this for next November 1st!):

November 1st, 2007 was actually the 13th annual W.V.D which celebrates the founding of the Vegan Society in 1944 and the coining of the word “vegan”. Check out the Vegan Society at http://www.vegansociety.com/html/.
